Kelvin Grove has produced AQHA, NRHA, and NRCHA money and point earners, as well as all-around good using horses for Roping, Ranching, Team Penning, etc. Their mare program consists of several own daughters of the immortal Bueno Chex, and several King Fritz granddaughters, who are out of Bueno Chex daughters, thus making them Double bred King Fritz.
Kelvin Grove's senior sire is Doc Hollybug Gold, aka Bugs, a golden Palomino son of Barlon. Barlon was a great producing son of the legendary Doc Bar. Bugs is out of an own daughter of Hollywood Gold. Bugs has produced NRHA, NRCHA futurity winners and money earners in the those associations as well. He has also produced AQHA point earners and Non Pro and Youth winners.
Kelvin Grove also breeds a select few mares each year to their other sire Peppy Bar San (aka Ben), who is an own son of Peppy San out of a daughter of Magnolia Bar. Ben has produced Cutting money earners in youth and amatuer events.
Kelvin Grove generally has about a dozen foals each year, consisting of palominos, buckskins, blacks, chestnuts and browns. The offspring are correct, athletic and have cow to burn. They also have inherited the excellent temperments that Marilyn and Jim have made a priority in their mares and stallions. |
